Current Account MoneyBack Platform

Current Account MoneyBack Platform

P92 developed a web-based Platform in partnership with the Dublin based loyalty company Allegiant to provide MoneyBack on Personal Current Account purchases for a new banking programme.

To benefit customers must use their MasterCard Debit Card to purchase goods at the participating retailer’s point of sale. The client banking organisation operates through a retail network across Ireland, and is re-entering the financial services market with a current account product. This platform implemented the following process. The clients payment processor project manager provide transactions daily and monthly to the platform. The file will contain information about card purchases including cardholder identifier and the Retailer’s merchant identifier. Our system scans through the transactions in the data file for participating Retailers and calculates a percentage rebate value against the transaction purchase value which is then apportioned between the cardholder, the Contractor and the Client.

The values apportioned to the cardholder are aggregated against each merchant and recorded in the file for return to the processor where it is used to credit customer accounts at the appropriate time under instruction from the Client. A separate direct debit or invoice is raised against each Retailer by Allegiant for the aggregate value of all rebates calculated.
