Our history - Approaching 35 years of successful growth
1991 P92 IT Solutions was founded by Dr. Jozsef Molnar and it's main activities then were software development, computer services, data processing and IT education.
1992 The company took the name of Prompt92 based on the year 1992 which was later shorted to P92
1993 The German publishing and music giant Bertelsmann media was looking for a strategic partner to provide a range of IT services to its Hungarian subsidiaries.
1995 P92 and Bertelsmann reorganised the business into a 50/50 joint venture and it became a consolidated subsidiary of Bertelsmann Group.
2000 P92 had more than 30 full-time developers and closely coupled 120 contractors. We expanded internationally.
2001 BDR Consulting (later acquired by the WPP agency Grass Roots Group PLC) becomes our client. Our work with them grows continuously over the years, starting with a small 2 person project that increases eventually peaked at 40 after their acquisition.
2002 We are recognized by Deloitte&Touche as one of the 50 fastest developing technology companies from the Central and Eastern European Region. In the same year, our name changes to Arvato Systems Hungary Ltd and we became aligned with the Arvato IT Services group within Bertelsmann.
2003 We introduce the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system which to this day remains a cornerstone of quality throughout our business.
2006 We become part of the Arvato Systems outsourcing strategy and sign contracts with Bertelsmann Group companies in neighbouring countries and hire their experts are part of a remote virtual team.
2007 Was one of our most successful business years and the business founders bought back 100% control of the company from the Bertelsmann Group.
2008 We continue our activities as P92 IT Solutions Ltd. Our biggest clients remain Bertelsmann and Grass Roots BDR company groups with whom we retained long-term outsourcing contracts.
2011 The company moves to a brand new purpose built office campus in a prosperous suburb of Budapest and after a year of development and refurbishment a company training and conference centre was opened at the Pronay Castle, a stately home just outside Budapest complete with conference facilities, training rooms, residential accommodation and Spa Pavilion.
2014 The company establishes P92 UK based which become P92 Group UK Ltd in 2016 in London in partnership with Maroon Elephant a London based agency whose CEO has become our Chairman for UK & Ireland.
2015 Gusztav Turschl becomes Group Managing Director of P92 IT Solutions.
2017 Company celebrates its 25 Year Anniversary with a major customer conference at pronay Castle in December where Hungarian X Factor judge Gabbi Toth performs.
2019 P92 Programme Director Peter Szilagyi appointed to IMA Europe Board of Directors as the Eastern Europe representative.
2020 P92 was asked to facilitate & for our UK Chairman Andrew Wilmot to chair, the core programme for the Incentives industry trade association IMA Europe via webinars during Covid. These webinars continued through the Spring & Summer of 2020 & the industry's Annual Awards ceremony was faciliated by P92 & Andrew also. Andrew won the IMA Presidents Award for 2020 for his efforts.
2023 Listed IT company Gloster announced the close of the acquisition of a controlling stake in P92 IT Solutions. Gloster has acquired 51% of P92 in the transaction, initially announced in June, and will raise that stake to 94% in 2025. The deal is expected to boost Gloster's consolidated revenue by around one-third to 47.7 Euros.
2024 P92 establishes Offshore development & shared services centre in Cebu, Philippines for software development and specialist Business Process Outsourcing. The Szeged office moved to larger premises in Szeged shared with sister company Minero. Memorandum of Agreement drafted between P92 and the University of San Carlos to support the university through on job training, provision of short courses, opportunities for faculty immersion in Hungary and R&D collaboration. P92 IT Solutions rebrands as Gloster P92 Digital.
